Course Description:
The purpose of Contract Ready has been designed for more advanced business owners already involved in government contracting and for those business owners who have completed the GPI’S Business Ready and/or Government Ready courses. Through our hands-on-approach you will learn how to build capacity in your business; create your capture management team; how to identify potential teaming partner and mentors; how to effectively respond to Sources Sought notices; how to review RFP's; what accounting systems are required when bidding on Federal contracts and much more. If you are currently certified in SBA’s 8(a) Business Development program and have not received any contracts, this course will show you where to find 8 (a) sole source contracts and how to market your business for those contracts. This course will provide a hands-on experience teaching students how to develop an elevator pitch and marketing materials, developing a six-month marketing strategy and much more.

All materials pertaining to this course will be accessible in the students’ individual folders. Folders are labeled by week and topic discussion. Students are free to access all information in folders for their review of topics discussed and will have access to the information for the duration of the course.
